About ImagineDriver

ImagineDriver is a mobile application used by schools to manage and track school bus trips. The application does not provide individual driver accounts. Instead, the login credentials used to access the application are assigned to a school and its designated bus. The driver uses the credentials provided by the school to access the assigned bus account and operate the trip tracking functionality

Information We Collect

Depending on how the application is used, ImagineDriver may process the following information: School-provided login credentials associated with the assigned bus. Bus and trip information. Device location information while an active trip is being tracked. Technical information required to operate and secure the application. ImagineDriver does not require drivers to create or maintain a personal account.

Location Information

---

Location information is a core functionality of ImagineDriver. The application does not continuously share the device's location simply because the driver is logged into the application. Location sharing is initiated when the driver starts a trip. Location information is therefore collected and shared for the specific purpose of providing live school bus tracking during an active trip.

Location Permission

ImagineDriver requires access to the device's location to provide live bus tracking. Before location tracking begins, the application requests the necessary location permission from the device user. The driver can review and manage the application's location permissions through the device's operating system settings. If the required location permission is not granted, the live trip tracking functionality may not operate.

How We Use Information

Information processed through ImagineDriver is used to: Authenticate access to the school-assigned bus account. Start and manage school bus trips. Provide live bus location tracking during active trips. Allow authorized schools to monitor active transportation services. Allow authorized parents/students to view the location of the relevant school bus during an active trip. Maintain the security, reliability, and proper operation of the service. Support and improve the Imagine Inquiry Sys platform. The location information collected through ImagineDriver is used for school transportation and trip-tracking purposes.

Sharing of Location Information

During an active trip, the bus's live location may be shared with: The school or authorized school administrators. Authorized parents/students who are permitted to view the relevant bus through the Imagine Inquiry Sys platform. Location information is not intended to be publicly available. Access to live bus location is controlled through the Imagine Inquiry Sys platform and is limited to users authorized by the relevant school.

Background Location

ImagineDriver may use location services while operating in the background after an active trip has been started. This is necessary to maintain live bus tracking when the driver minimizes the application or uses another application while the trip is in progress. Background location tracking is associated with the active trip and is intended to continue until the driver stops the trip. When the trip is stopped, the application stops the active live-location tracking associated with that trip.

Driver Privacy

ImagineDriver is designed around bus-based credentials rather than individual driver accounts. The credentials used to access the application identify the school and assigned bus rather than serving as a personal driver profile. The location collected during an active trip is therefore used as bus/trip location information for school transportation tracking. Drivers should only use the credentials and bus account assigned to them by the school.

Data Security and Confidentiality

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed through ImagineDriver and the Imagine Inquiry Sys platform against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. Access to school, bus, trip, and location information is controlled through the Imagine Inquiry Sys platform and its authorization mechanisms.

Imagine Inquiry Sys provides services for educational institutions and recognizes the importance of protecting information associated with students and families. Live bus location may be made available to authorized parents/students through the Imagine Inquiry Sys platform during an active school transportation trip. Such information is intended to be used only for the relevant educational institution's transportation and safety-related purposes.
